This year in our garden, we adopted pollinator health as one of our key principles, to great effect. We planted a variety of flowers, and also let some our our vegetables flower which attracted a plethora of insect life. We’ve noticed butterflies, six types of bees, wasps, ladybugs, and even the occasional hummingbird. Not only is it visually pleasing to look out and see butterflies and bees patrolling the garden, but we’ve noticed better pollination in our crops like tomato, zucchini, and peppers. We are sure to plant crops that attract pollinators going forward!
